Description
A lovely overlap design with a linear texture. This small cast ring is made in sterling silver and a size K (please be certain of your size before purchasing, I’m unable to alter sorry).
All jewellery is presented in a blue/metallic gift box.
Widemouth Bay in North Cornwall has incredible rock formations with striation lines formed thousands of years ago. These were my inspiration for this collection to create a linear texture.
The pieces started off being made from Japanese wax ‘Mitsuro Hikime’ made of pine resin and beeswax. When stretching and shaping the wax, it produces texture and lines (striations) that are present in the final piece. These textured models are then cast in sterling silver and then either kept as a whole piece such as a ring or cut up to be used in other ways.
All of my jewellery is hand designed and created by myself within my workroom, on the edge of Dartmoor Devon. During the forming process there can be evidence of workmanship and no two items are identical. These are not faults but make each piece unique unlike anything mass produced. All silver is purchased from reputable UK suppliers and I recycle as much waste silver as possible.
